Charlotte Ong, yep I had the same problem and inquired Zeplin about it. You can fix it by: From sketch toolbar → Plug ins →Anima Tool Kit → Prepare Export to other Plugins.

It will duplicate your sketch file and detach all the symbols. It’s quite a double effort but for now, this is how they suggest for the solution :)
